This Chlamydia test is for women only, is easy to carry out and provides a result within 15 mintues. (men click here) This test has been awarded a full CE Mark.

How does the test work?

It works by detecting an enzyme in the vaginal fluid that indicates that Chlamydia bacteria are present.

A small swab wand (much smaller than a tampon) is inserted into the mouth of the vagina. It is then mixed with a solution and results are available in less than 15 minutes. If the swab turns purple, then the Chlamydia bacteria is present and you should see your GP or local STD clinic immediately.
